I'm a very conservative American. I believe in the Constitution as well as the principles and values our founding fathers built this country on. I am sickened at what has been happening in our government over the past several years. I did not vote for Obama and his actions so far as President of the U.S. have solidified my reasons for that decision. But it's not just him...Congress and the Senate have plenty to do with the mess too. And, to be fair, though I'm not a Bush hater, I do also understand that he played his role in making things worse in the U.S. Anyway, as we've watched the government continue to spend, spend, spend with all of this bailout nonsense, anger in this country is growing. On April 15th this year, millions of Americans across the country will be participating in what are now known as "tax day tea parties". In honor of these "tea parties" I found some tax related quotes that I thought were quite fitting for the current times.

“To contract new debts is not the way to pay for old ones.” George Washington

“To preserve [the] independence [of the people], we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt.” Thomas Jefferson

I believe the founding fathers of this great nation were inspired by God. I believe we should listen to them!
